A Symposium for Educators and Research Scholars in Higher Education
Mind Lab, IIT Delhi organized the Mind, Brain, and Happiness symposium on October 10, 2025, at the Auditorium, RNI Park, IIT Delhi, with support from the Rekhi Foundation for Happiness. The day-long academic event brought together educators, researchers, clinicians, and scholars from diverse disciplinary backgrounds to examine well-being through scientific, psychological, and educational lenses. The symposium aimed to create a structured space for dialogue on how happiness, resilience, and mental well-being can be meaningfully integrated into higher education systems.
The symposium featured expert panel discussions and talks led by professionals and academicians working across neuroscience, psychology, education, mental health, and contemplative sciences. Panelists shared insights from research, teaching, and practice, addressing themes such as the neuroscience of happiness, measurement of well-being, mindfulness and contemplative pedagogy, and culturally grounded approaches to flourishing. Through interdisciplinary exchange and audience interaction, the event highlighted the importance of evidence-based and context-sensitive approaches to understanding happiness within academic and institutional settings.
